Residencies and Consulting
Dr. Teck’s unique experience and expertise in Jewish communal life, curriculum design, program evaluation, developmentally appropriate practice, parenting, song and prayer leading give her a uniquely informed insight into how to engage and connect families with their community.
Invite members and guests in your community to join together to learn and celebrate joyful Judaism. Invite learners of all ages and stages for an experience that combines education and entertainment while connecting people, engaging families, and growing community. Each residency weekend is co-constructed with communal leadership to ensure that the experiences facilitated will support the ongoing abilities and efforts of the community related to fostering Jewish identity, learning, and community with learners of all ages and stages.
Communities that host residencies, workshops, and musical programs can maximize the impact of their event by adding a consulting engagement to complement their service.
Consulting engagements can be designed to include both online and/or in-person opportunities. If you are committed to increasing and improving the ways you and your community invites young children and their families to join your Jewish community, a consulting package can be designed to meet your needs and your budget to optimize the impact of your willingness to invest in this population.
Emily helped me identify what she called ‘opportunities for growth’ and then I scheduled a follow video-chat consult. She has been able to find relatively simple solutions to what I thought were going to be pretty significant challenges. Our meetings have been far more supportive and enthusiastic than other professional development endeavors I’ve experienced.
We hired Emily to be the musician-in-residence at a family retreat and she was fantastic. Her energy and enthusiasm come from a wealth of both Judaic and child-centered expertise, and her musical moments were a true highlight of our event. Emily is great to work with, and inspiring to sing with. 10/10 would hire again!
